The Wolsztyn Experience is a British company operating in tandem with a charitable trust which has been established in western Poland, near the German border. The small, picturesque town of Wolsztyn is the center of a "museum" railroad operated as part of the PKP, the national railroad system of Poland. Wolsztyn is one of several towns in the area where a roundhouse and maintenance facilities are maintained for steam locomotives. Wolsztyn Experience, PLC, capitalized by a group of British individuals, assists the Polish railway system support the added cost of operating steam locomotives on regular scheduled passenger and freight service in the area. This partnership is beneficial to the town of Wolsztyn and the surrounding region, because it is very famous among European rail enthusiasts and draws a lot of tourists. This is literally the last steam-hauled mainline train service in Europe and among the last in the world. Wolsztyn Experience provides financial assistance to support this attraction by providing driving courses to individuals in conjunction with its regular passenger and freight service.
